More Than Restoration
We don't just restore race cars.
We help preserve a community.

and competitive for years to come.
Our services include:
• Restoration and refurbishment
• Race preparation and technical support
• Transportation and logistics
• Secure vehicle storage
• Parts sourcing and component replacement
• Driver development guidance
• Event support and promotion
Every car has a story. Our goal is to help write its next chapter.
Real Racing. Real Cars. Real Community.
In a world increasingly dominated by technology, Formula Ford remains refreshingly simple. No traction control.
No driver aids.
No expensive aerodynamics.
Just a driver, a race car, and the challenge of becoming faster.
The friendships built in the paddock, the satisfaction of mastering a corner, and the thrill of
wheel-to-wheel competition are experiences that cannot be duplicated anywhere else.
Formula Ford continues to represent grassroots racing at its finest.
Getting New Drivers Involved
Many people dream of racing but never take the first step because they believe it is financially out of reach.
We're working to change that.
Through education, community involvement, event participation, and future arrive-and- drive opportunities, our goal is to introduce more people to vintage open-wheel racing and help them become active participants in the sport.
Whether you're a lifelong racer, a collector, a father and son looking for a shared hobby, or someone who has never worn a helmet before, there is a place for you in the Formula Ford community.
Join Us
Whether you're looking to restore a car, return to the track, attend an event, learn more about Formula Ford racing, or explore race car ownership for the first time, we'd love to connect.
Together, we can preserve the history, community, and excitement of vintage open-wheel motorsport for future generations.
Preserving the Past. Growing
the Future.
RJ Wiggins Motosport exists to preserve, promote, and grow grassroots open-wheel racing throughout the United States. For more than 50 years, Formula Ford has been one of the purest
and most respected forms of motorsport. These lightweight, purpose-built race cars have launched professional careers, introduced thousands of drivers to wheel-to-wheel competition, and provided generations of enthusiasts with an affordable path into racing.
Today, many of these historic cars sit unused in garages, workshops, and collections. Our mission is to bring them back to life, keep them on track, and introduce a new generation of drivers to one of the most exciting and rewarding forms of motorsport ever created.
Racing Is More Accessible Than Most People Think
Many people assume race car ownership is reserved for professional teams and large budgets.
The reality may surprise you.
A well-maintained vintage Formula Ford can often be purchased for an investment comparable to many popular recreational hobbies and motorsports activities.
Typical Investment Comparison
Many enthusiasts spend $10,000 to $20,000 or more building high-end simulator setups with direct-drive wheel systems, motion platforms, professional pedals, VR systems, and dedicated gaming computers.
For a similar investment, you could own a real Formula Ford and compete on legendary circuits such as VIR, Road Atlanta, Sebring, Watkins Glen, and many others.
The dream of owning and racing a real open-wheel race car may be far more attainable than you think.
Supporting Grassroots Motorsport
One of the greatest challenges facing amateur motorsports today is accessibility.
The costs associated with licensing, transportation, and entering the sport can discourage prospective drivers before they ever get the opportunity to experience racing.
We actively support efforts that encourage participation, reduce unnecessary barriers to entry, and create more opportunities for enthusiasts to become involved in grassroots motorsport.
We believe the future of Formula Ford depends on attracting new drivers, new families, and new enthusiasts to the sport.
Our goal is simple:
More Cars on Track.
More Drivers Involved.
More Opportunities to Race.
Preserving More Than Cars
The number of businesses specializing in vintage open-wheel race cars continues to shrink.
Owners often struggle to find:
• Technical expertise
• Race preparation services
• Transportation support
• Replacement parts
• Experienced guidance
We are committed to helping fill that gap and ensuring these historic race cars remain active, visible, and competitive for future generations.
Preserving the cars is important.
Preserving the community is essential.
Affordable. Authentic. Open-Wheel Racing.
Keep Racing. Keep Learning. Keep Formula Ford Alive.
This version positions you not as a repair shop, but as the steward of a movement— preserving vintage Formula Fords while growing participation in grassroots racing. That's a much stronger brand and will attract owners, prospective racers, and supporters alike.
