PATH INTO RACING

STEP 5

Hill Climbs

Hill climbs provide one of the most exciting and accessible forms of motorsport available.

Events such as:

• Dragon Hillclimb

• Flag Rock Hillclimb

• Brushy Mountain Hillclimb

allow drivers to compete against the clock on closed roads in a safe and controlled

environment.

Hill climbs reward:

• Precision

• Consistency

• Courage

• Vehicle setup

• Driver skill

For many enthusiasts, hill climbs become a lifelong passion.

STEP 6

Explore Formula Ford Ownership

At some point, many enthusiasts begin asking a question:

What if I owned a real race car?

That's where Formula Ford enters the picture.

Formula Ford offers:

• Authentic open-wheel racing

• Rich racing history

• Strong community support

• Affordable ownership opportunities

• Driver-focused competition

Many people are surprised to discover that a vintage Formula Ford can often be purchased

for less than other enthusiast hobbies such as:

• Competitive karting

• High-end sim racing

• Side-by-sides

• Bass boats

• Track-day sports cars

For many enthusiasts, Formula Ford represents the perfect balance of performance,

affordability, and history.

STEP 8

Your First Race Weekend

Nothing compares to your first race weekend.

The preparation.

The anticipation.

The driver's meeting.

The first practice session.

The first green flag.

The first checkered flag.

It's a moment that every racer remembers.

More importantly, it's the beginning of a journey that often lasts a lifetime.

Every motorsport journey is different.

Some begin with a restoration project.

Some begin with a simulator.

Some begin with autocross.

Some begin with hill climbs.

Some begin with a lifelong dream.

What matters is getting started.

THERE IS NO SINGLE PATH

OUR MISSION

At RJ Wiggins MotoSport, we are committed to helping enthusiasts navigate every stage of the journey.

Whether you're:

• Exploring motorsport for the first time

• Interested in Formula Ford ownership

We're here to help.

Because every Formula Ford deserves a driver.

And every aspiring driver deserves a path into motorsport.

WHERE DOES YOUR JOURNEY BEGIN?

You don't need experience.

You don't need a race car.

You don't need a professional racing budget.

You simply need an interest in motorsport and the willingness to take the first step.

The path is waiting.

Affordable.

Authentic.

Open-Wheel Racing.

Welcome to the Journey.

Website suggestion: Add a visual timeline graphic near the top:

Dream → Sim Racing → Attend Event → Autocross → Hill Climb → Formula Ford

Ownership → Driver School → Competition License → Race Weekend → Lifelong

Community

That graphic will become one of the most memorable elements on the entire website and perfectly illustrates your mission.

Most People Think Racing Is Out of Reach.

We Believe They're Wrong.

For many enthusiasts, motorsport feels like something reserved for professional drivers,

factory-backed teams, and unlimited budgets.

Television broadcasts showcase Formula One, IndyCar, NASCAR, and endurance racing at

the highest levels of competition.

What most people never see is the path that leads there.

The reality is that thousands of enthusiasts participate in motorsport every year without

professional sponsorships, massive budgets, or racing pedigrees.

Many started exactly where you are today.

Curious.

Interested.

Wondering where to begin.

The good news is that there is a path.

And it's far more accessible than most people realize.

STEP 7

Driver Training & Licensing

If wheel-to-wheel racing becomes your goal, the next step is formal driver training.

Organizations such as SCCA provide pathways into competitive racing through:

• Driver schools

• Novice permits

• Physical examinations

• On-track instruction

• Competition licensing

This process helps ensure drivers develop the skills necessary to compete safely and confidently.

Requirements vary by sanctioning organization, event, car, and driver.

STEP 9

Become Part Of The Community

The greatest part of motorsport isn't the cars.

It's the people.

Formula Ford owners, drivers, mechanics, volunteers, and enthusiasts form one of the

most welcoming communities in racing.

Friendships are built in garages.

Knowledge is shared in paddocks.

Stories are passed from one generation to the next.

The community is what keeps people involved long after the checkered flag falls

STEP 1

Discover Your Passion Every motorsport journey begins the same way. A race on television. A trip to a race track. A family member who raced. A favorite driver. A dream. For our founder, that journey was inspired by the Isle of Man TT and the Monaco Grand Prix. For others, it begins with a local autocross, a vintage race weekend, or simply a love of mechanical things. There is no wrong place to start. The important thing is taking the first step.

STEP 3

‍ Attend An Event One of the best ways to begin is by attending a local motorsport event. Visit: • SCCA races • Vintage racing events • Autocross competitions • Hill climbs • Track days Talk to competitors. Ask questions. Walk through the paddock. You'll quickly discover that motorsport is far more approachable than you imagined. The racing community is filled with people who love sharing their experiences

STEP 2

Sim Racing For many enthusiasts, sim racing is their first hands-on experience with motorsport. Modern simulators provide an incredible opportunity to: • Learn racing lines • Develop consistency • Understand vehicle dynamics • Learn tracks • Build confidence Many professional drivers use simulators regularly. Sim racing can be an excellent starting point. But eventually, many enthusiasts want something more. They want the real thing.

STEP 4

Autocross Autocross is often the perfect first step into active participation. Using a car you already own, you'll learn: • Vehicle control • Braking techniques • Cornering fundamentals • Driver confidence Benefits include: • Low cost • Minimal vehicle requirements • Beginner-friendly environment • Supportive community Many racers begin their journey in autocross
